The "Amicale Jean-Baptiste Salis"

The old wings don't like asphalt........therefore it's the main reason to enjoy the atmosphere of an airfield like La Ferté Alais

where you will smell the ambiance of the old days of the aviation of Dady, with the enthusiasm and the passion of the pioneers

flying this old and so beautiful machines.

To perpetuate the spirit of " Les Pilotes du Souvenir " created in 1929 by Jean-Baptiste Salis,the "Friendly Aerospace Cerny become the "Amicale Jean-Baptiste Salis" in 1972 and welcomes you on the airfield Cerny La Ferte Alais with the following objectives:
     - Preserve and maintain in flying condition aircraft collection and enhance the aviation heritage.
     - To build or rebuild equipment belonging to the history of aviation and to transmit the knowledge in this activity.
     - To facilitate and popularize the practice of aviation both thanks to state and private donations .
     - To develop among all pilots, mechanics and other members of the Association    friendly relations.
     - Maintain a mindset, perpetuating the memory of Jean-Baptiste Salis.

The Amicale has today 300 members including some sixty highly engaged staff retired or active coming during the week or for the weekend to work on 30 vintage aircraft to maintain them in flight conditions and let them flying.

The Flying Museum

We submit to you in the hangar museum handled by the Association AJBS, the family Salis , Memorial Flight, and some

privates an exceptional exhibit of 30 vintage aircraft maintained in flying condition .
These aircraft are exposed in a static way , but also outside according to the weather of the day or leaving to air shows where we participate in France or in foreign countries by air or , in dismantled conditions , transported by truck or by plane

or ship TOO ! ! ! ! !

The Meeting of Pentecost "Le Temps des Hélices"

Since its first edition in 1970, the air show at Cerny La Ferte-Alais, attracts each year an increasing number of spectators ... as families with kids or fans from the surrounding villages or from Paris or from a lot of foreign countries attracted by

our celebrity in the world of aviation and all come to be witness of something to be compared to the Mecca but for

OLD WINGS this time as they want to see and admire and be a live part of this old timers .
Everything is in action, colleagues starting manually the old wings engines with this special smell of hot smoke

and a so wonderful music of an old engine starting or the roaring of a 12 cylinders Rolls Royce overflying our airfield

at 250Mph . . . . during a very low pass . . . .

That s for you an immersion for a couple of hours on the way to realise at least a part of the dream of Icarius EVEN IF NOT COMPLITLY ACHIEVED AS NOT REALY FLOWN BUT . . . . it s may be the first step to realise your dream TO FLY SOMEDAY

for a lot of you !

And it s may be the final aim for us to make you dream and therefore "Restore, hand over in flying conditions and share our experience with the next generations" .
